Privacy Policy

The short version

• We collect contact details only when you choose to give them to us — through the contact form or the floor-plan request form.
• We use them to answer your inquiry and to follow up about leasing at The Power House.
• We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it to third-party marketers.
• We use standard website analytics to understand how the site is used.
• You can ask us to delete your information at any time. See Your choices.

Information you give us

You can browse this entire site without telling us who you are. We collect personal information only when you submit it:

• Contact form. First name, last name, email address, phone number, the number of bedrooms you are interested in, your desired move-in date, and anything you write in the message field.
• Floor-plan request. Your email address, so we can send the floor-plan PDF. This form states that we will not follow up unless you ask, and we honor that.
• Phone and email. If you call or email the leasing office directly, we keep a record of that contact so we can serve you.

We do not ask for and do not want sensitive information through this website. Please do not send Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, government ID numbers, or health information through the contact form. Applications and any information they require are handled separately through our secure application portal, not through this site.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this site records some technical information automatically:

• Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, and which devices they use. This includes IP address (which Google truncates), browser type, referring page, and pages viewed.
• Advertising measurement. We use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure whether an advertisement led to a tour request or an application. When you arrive from an advertisement, your browser stores the advertising click identifier locally for up to 90 days so the resulting inquiry can be attributed to the right campaign.
• Campaign attribution. Referral and campaign parameters in the web address (for example, utm_source) are stored in your browser and attached to a form submission if you make one, so we know which channel to credit.

These identifiers are not used to build an advertising profile of you, and we do not combine them with data purchased from data brokers.

Cookies and local storage

This site uses cookies and browser local storage for two purposes: analytics and advertising measurement, as described above. We do not use cookies to serve behavioral advertising on other websites from this site.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from using any part of this site.

Most browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry-agreed standard for how sites should respond to it, so this site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.

How we use your information

• To respond to your inquiry and send information you asked for.
• To schedule and confirm tours.
• To follow up about availability, pricing, and leasing at The Power House — unless you asked us not to.
• To measure which marketing channels bring qualified prospects.
• To improve the website and fix problems.
• To meet legal, tax, and fair-housing recordkeeping obligations.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us operate this website and our leasing process, and only to the extent they need it to do that work. Today those are:

• Netlify — website hosting and form delivery.
• Google — analytics, advertising measurement, and the embedded map.
• AppFolio — availability listings, tour scheduling, and the online application portal.

Each of these providers operates under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when necessary to protect the safety of residents, staff, or the property. If our ownership or management changes, resident and prospect records may transfer as part of that transaction.

We do not sell personal information, and we have not sold or shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the preceding twelve months.

How long we keep it

Prospect inquiries are retained for up to twenty-four months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted or de-identified, unless a longer period is required by law or by our fair-housing recordkeeping obligations. Analytics data is retained on Google's standard schedule. You may ask us to delete your inquiry sooner.

Your choices

You may, at any time and at no cost:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete your inquiry and contact details.
• Ask us to stop contacting you. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any text message.

Email leasing@powerhouserockhill.com or call 803.618.0862. We will respond within thirty days. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and others — have these rights by statute, including the right to appeal a denial. To appeal, reply to our response and write "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line.

Security

This site is served entirely over HTTPS, and form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to inquiry records is limited to leasing and management staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect what you send us.

Children

This website is intended for adults seeking housing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.

Equal housing

The Power House Apartments at UC is an Equal Housing Opportunity provider. We do not use any information collected through this website to discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, disability, or any other class protected by federal, state, or local law. See our Accessibility Statement for how to request accommodations.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date below and post the revised version here. Material changes will be noted on this page for at least thirty days.
